It has been awhile since I last posted, so there is a lot in this one.

Jackson's personality has blossomed and he makes us laugh everyday.

He loves talking on the phone. He will puck up a phone and say "ellow."
This is actually a walkie-talkie, but to him it is all the same.

I just don't think he could be any more adorable.

He is obsessed with the iPod. He really doesn't listen to it; he just likes to take the cover off.

Since I haven't posted anything in like five months there a a lot of pictures here.
Kyle and I have made it through one more semester of school.
It is really hard to do everything we need to, but it is all worth it!
A lot has happened this fall. I am really lucky and got new carpet for my house.
Kyle got to go with Dale on his Elk Hunt.
He also had an opportunity to go to New York and go to a Giants game. I was jealous because I have always wanted to go to New York, but he had a great time!
And the best news is we are going to have a new little niece or nephew in the fall.

Jackson has been swimming a couple of times. He thinks it is pretty cool splashing and playing in the water.

Birthday

Jackson's first birthday is today so we had a party on Saturday to celebrate.

He wasn't too sure about the cake until we got him a spoon. He was then ready to dig in.

Jackson was more interested in Emma's sippy cup than his presents, but he loved them once we got home and they were all out. To be honest I loved them too and have played with them almost as much as he has.

We also had fireworks which everyone loved. Dale and Corey had a pretty good fire going on as you can tell. It was a lot of fun and thanks to everyone who came. We have the best family ever!

May Update and the Swell

It has been a crazy month! I always tell myself I need to blog, but it never happens. Kyle and I finished our Spring semester of school. I have one more class to take this summer. Once that is done I will be ready for pharmacy school (if that is at all possible). Kyle has been busy working on the house since the end of the semester. He ripped up all of the old flooring from the kitchen to downstairs bathroom and put in a new one. It is beautiful and I love it. I had carpet in my dining room before and it is so much easier to clean now. He is now ripping up the tile in the entryway and in front of the fireplace and is going to replace that. I love having new things in my house and it is even better not having to pay someone to do it!

We took our first camping trip of the year and went to San Rafael Swell. We went with my parents, Katie and Dale and some of my parents neighborhood friends. It was a lot of fun besides the fact that I was sick and Jackson was getting more teeth. We did a lot of things from hiking to four-wheeling to horseback riding. Jackson went on four-wheeler rides and a horseback ride. He is now a four-wheeling junkie! He also tried to eat rocks and just plain old got dirty. We loved leaving the city and getting away for a weekend. Even Rusty had a blast. His feet were not used to the terrain and he hurt, but he would not stop unless we made him.

All I can say is that I sure do love this kid. He is so cute with such a cute personality to go with. This last weekend Kyle and I drove to Omaha and back without Jackson. It was the longest three days of my life. Not only was it long because we were in the truck for 29 hours driving through Wyoming and Nebraska, but because I was away from my boy for so long. It is so nice to be back home with this cute little guy!

Bad, Bad Blogger

I am really bad at blogging lately. Life has been so busy with work, school and my wonderful family. There just does not seem to be time to blog and nothing important to really blog about.

Jackson is getting so big. At his six month appointment he weighed 19 pounds (80th percentile) and is 27 inches tall (85th-90th percentile). He has been crawling for about a month now and can pull himself up. He can walk with us holding his hands, but is a little wobbly. He is getting into everything now that he is crawling. At first we were piling up blankets to act as barriers, but he has developed four-wheel drive. He just digs his toes into the ground, pushes up and he is over whatever is in his way. In a matter of seconds he can be across the room and into something he is not supposed to be. I now call him my little monkey because he everywhere and into everything. He loves to crawl all over people too; he thinks that everything and everyone is a jungle gym. It is a lot of work, but there is never a dull moment at our house.

Kyle has been busy with school and watching Jackson. He is doing so well this semester and I am really proud of him for it. He is taking a lot of architecture classes which he prefers so much to the silly general classes that he has been taking. He is wonderful around the house. I love it when I come home and he has cleaned or done dishes or helped with the laundry. It is even more impressive that he can get any of it done with Jackson around. I am the first to say that cleaning with him is not an easy task. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful husband that is willing to do so much for our family!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. Our's was wonderful. I love spending time with family and eating a lot of great food. Jackson surprised us all with his excitement with Christmas. He was laughing and giggling and rolling in the wrapping paper. I know it is only going to get better as Jackson gets bigger. I gave Kyle a wireless keyboard and Jackson gave him two new video games. I got a canister vacuum and a beautiful picture frame and Jackson got spoiled!

It has been a busy December and I have not had time to keep the blog up to date.

Last week Kyle and I decided that Jackson was starting to look like a hippie and desperately needed a haircut. One night after work we had haircut night. I gave Jackson his first haircut and it made him look so different. Do not worry though because the darling curls are still there. Kyle also was looking a little shaggy, so I gave him one next. Both of my boys now look clean and sharp with their new haircuts. I will post a picture of Jackson's new hair when I am at home and have access to my pics.

Last Saturday we all went to Temple Square to look at the lights. There were a ton of people so we did not get to see the manger and had to move kind of quickly through. The lights were still very pretty. There was one big pine tree that had red lights wrapped around every little branch that was gorgeous. I will get that picture posted also. Jackson was loving life in his carrier with dad.

Yesterday we went with my parents and their friends to go see the Zoo Lights. We met the man who put them all up and he is extremely talented. There were a bunch of the moving lights where the animals jump from one place to the next or do other things. I loved it! It was so much fun and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something fun to do.

I have been spoiled the past few weeks. I recently got new windows and yesterday Kyle replaced our gross sliding glass door in our living room. He put french doors in its place. They are awesome; they have the blinds in the middle and they look great. It also has made our downstairs warmer. We do still need to put molidng up. In a couple of weeks I get a new sliding door in my dining room also. Here is a picture of my new doors.

I also got a new shelf above my fireplace. It has always bugged me because there is not mantle, but I like the way this looks. My husband is awesome!

Jackson loves his grandpa! I want to thank my dad. Yesterday Jackson did not feel very well, so he was really fussy. He would not stop screaming so we went to the shop to get some help from grandpa. Once my dad picked him up and cuddled him he calmed right down and went to sleep. This was not the first occasion that he has been the only one able to calm him down. I also want to thank him and my mom for coming over last night and watching Jackson and helping me clean the house. I really appreciate all that they do!

This last weekend we went camping with my parents, Katie and Dale, and Shane and Julee to Palisade in Sanpete. We had a lot of fun; we went 4-wheeling, shooting, and we at a lot of really good food! We were going to go golfing, but there was not enough time on Saturday. It was nice to have a weekend of fun and have my parents there to watch Jackson so I could join in on it. I was really bad at the picture taking thing again this weekend so I only got pictures of our shooting adventure.

Jackson is getting so big! He's not a newborn anymore. He is starting to hold his own head up for a little bit. It is still wobbly, but he can hold it up. I am able to put him in his Bumbo and he can sit for a minute by himself.

This last weekend we went to Evanston with my family for the rodeo. It was a lot of fun to hang out with the fam for the weekend and to show Jackson off to all of our rodeo friends. Katie and Dale also came to what Dale calls only 65 miles from the gorge. We all stayed in the trailer. We fit all six adults, Jackson, and the two dogs in the trailer; it definantly was a full house. The funny story of the weekend involves my parents dog, Sam. For those of you who do not know Sam she is a mini Aussie and she is the princess. She is so funny! Jackson's carseat was on the chair in the trailer and it was the chair that Sam likes to sleep on. It also had a blanket in it so she decided she would make herself comfortable in it so we caught her all curled up in it. It was so funny, but my mom made her get out before I got a picture. Other than that here are some pictures of our walk along the river.

Jackson Trease Stewart was born on July 21st at 8:30 A.M. via c-section. He is 7 lbs and 2 ounces and is 19 inches long. He looks like his daddy and has a lot of black curly hair. Hectic Life

Either I am really bad at blogging or my life is hectic. I like to think that my problem is the latter one. A lot of stuff has happened since I last blogged. Here are some of the things that we have done. I actually have pictures this time also.

Painting

We have started to paint the baby's room. We have a coat of primer on it and I am really hoping that we have it done before he comes!

Kyle could not help himself he had to paint my face.

Anniversary Presents

Our anniversary is not for another week, but we got our presents early this year.

I got a new ring because my wedding ring no longer fits. It is very pretty and will fit great on my right hand once my ring fits again.

We found a really good deal on a TV and Kyle has been wanting a new one for over a year now. It was such a good deal that we could not pass it up. He was really excited and could not wait to get home to set it up.

I know we are both very spoiled!!!

Baby Shower

My mom and my aunts threw me a wonderful baby shower last saturday. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of stuff that we really need. Thank you everyone for coming and for putting so much work into it. It was a great shower with cute decorations and great food! I have such a wonderful family!

36 Weeks

It is crazy that there is only four weeks left before Jackson's due date. It is going to be here before we know it. We finally got a car seat yesterday which helped my stress level a ton. I did not want to worry about going in to labor and not having a car seat. The bad news of the week is that Jackson is breech, so we are praying that he will turn so that we do not have to have him flipped. If he doesn't then hopefully the doctor can get him flipped! I cannot wait until he comes though. I am ready to start the next stage in my life.

Baby Curtains

I was really spoiled this year and my mom got me a rotary cutter, mat and ruler so that I could start sewing and Kyle got me a sewing machine. I have had them since the beginning of May and did not open up the sewing maching until last week. Yesterday I decided that I needed to use them, so I decided to make the baby curtains for his room. It was a lot of fun and I think that they turned out pretty cute. I want to make other things for his room now. It is a lot of fun!

10 Weeks Left!!!

Catch Up

I was noticing that it has been a long time since we posted anything. Life has been a little crazy this past month. Kyle finished his spring semester of school last week and decided that he did not want to take summer classes with the baby coming. I am grateful that he decided that. This way we have more time to spend together. I only have about ten more week until the baby comes! I cannot wait until he is here and I can see and hold him. He is growing big and moving a lot. Every time we go to the doctor she says that everything looks good, so hopefully it stays that way. I am getting a little tired and my body does not like it very much, but we are almost done. Last weekend Katie went through the temple and I was excited because I was able to make it through with her. I was a little worried about the baby kicking me and making me have to go to the bathroom, but he was good. Kyle was not able to go which was sad. I have never been without him, but sometimes work just gets in the way. This weekend is her wedding and it will be nice when it is over. Last night we had her reception in Salt Lake and it was beautiful. My mom did such a good job. She really is amazing. Other than that our life is finally slowing down a little bit, but just for a couple more months.

What for Dessert?

Last night after dinner Kyle was in the mood for some dessert. First he wanted homemade oreos, but I did not have a cake mix. Then he decided that he wanted Rice Krispie Treats. I had marshmallows, but no Rice Krispies. He decided that we should make them with Frosted Flakes since we did not have Rice Krispies. They turned out to be really good. They are very sugary, but anyone who knows Kyle knows that with him the more sugar the better. I think that they would be really good with regular Corn Flakes also and would not be quite as overwhelming the sweet department. For any of you who, like us, like a simple dessert every now and then try making Rice Krispie Treats with Frosted Flakes.

Kyle and I are going to have a baby boy! We had the ultrasound today and it is very conclusive that baby is a boy. Most people thought that it was a boy and they were right. We are way excited! Now I can start getting the nursery stuff made. Here are a couple of the good ultrasound pictures.

Kyle's Party

Kyle is going to turn 25 tomorrow and that being a big year we decided to have a birthday party for him yesterday. It was a lot of fun! A lot of our friends and family came. We had a BBQ and just hung out. It was great seeing everyone and all of the babies. I want to thank everyone for coming. It meant a lot to us. Also thanks to my parents for letting us have it at their house. Like always I forgot to take pictures. Sorry there are no pictures!

Baby Movements

This past week I have been feeling baby move a lot. Times before I was not quite sure if I really was feeling baby move, but I know now he/she is. It is crazy!!! It felt a little weird at first because it is like nothing I have ever felt before, but I am getting used to it and I LOVE it. It is not strong enough for Kyle to feel yet, but he sure has tried. It will be soon though I know.

I have not been able to get to this blog until today, but it is about Saturday. We took my parents up to Logan to a Utah State basketball game. My dad has always wanted to go to one and we never got around to it when I actually lived up there. We were able to get four tickets from my sister-in-law, so we decided to go. We went for my dad, but I think out of all of us my mom had the best time. She thought the students chants were so funny. She was laughing so hard, and anyone who knows my mom knows that she has a very contagious laugh. It was a lot of fun and the Aggies last home game of the season. It also was my favorite player, Gary Wilkinson's, last game at the Spectrum. Of course they won and they also were awarded WAC championship trophy. Wilkinson was the WAC's player of the year and it was the second year in a row being undefeated at home. It was a lot of fun!!! Both Kyle and I miss going to those game a lot. Best of luck to the Aggies in the upcoming tournament.

Today was the first day I actually looked pregnant so Kyle took a picture. I am 19 weeks along and I finally look it. I am amazed at how pregnant I look in this picture. It all happens so fast!

Our Trip to Logan

On Saturday we took a trip back to Logan. It was the first time we both had been back since we moved. We were able to go to ShopKo and see all of our old friends. That was a lot of fun! We also got to go to a basketball game. I love those games! It was interesting though because it is not the same game sitting with all of the old people as it is standing with the students. We did not want to leave, but we knew we had to come home. We both will be Aggies for life. Since going to school in Salt Lake Kyle has even decided that he likes Utah State better. Even though we will go to school at Utah we will never be Utes!

Bowling and Gymnastics

I have a had a lot of fun the past few day this week. On Thursday we went on a double date with our friends Matt and Vicki. We went and had dinner at Arby's and then went bowling. We had a lot of fun with them. I was also very impressed with Vicki. She is pregnant and due in two weeks and she still had enough energy to bowl three games. I hope that I will be that energetic at that point in my pregnancy. It was so much fun to get out and do something.
Yesterday my mom and I went to the Utah gymnastics meet. It was a lot of fun because I have not been to one for a long time. She used to always take Katie and I when we were little. I always loved going. It wasn't very much fun after though to try and find the car in the super thick fog! Needless to say, I have been spoiled the past few days and have had a lot of fun!

We Are Still Alive

I know it has been almost a month since I last posted something. We have been so busy that I just haven't seemed to enough time to do much of anything. Here are some updates.

The Holidays
We had a great Cristmas. We had a small little Christmas at home and then were able to spend the rest of the day with my family. It was really great to be with them all day. It was a lot of fun and we got really spoiled!!!
For New Years all we did was went out to dinner with my parents. We didn't even stay up until midnight to bring in the new year. I cannot stay up past ten anymore. Hopefully after the baby comes I will have my energy back. I also figured that the new year would still be there in the morning and I could kiss Kyle then. (I know we are really boring!)

Pregnancy and Baby
Here are some pregnancy updates:
-Baby is doing both of the jobs that the doctor says he/she has. He/she is growing and keeping the heart a beating. The doctor says everything is looking good.
-I am finally starting to get over the nausea. I do not have the 24 hour sickness anymore. I now have my mornings free and I am loving that.
-I am also starting to have cravings. On monday it was a smoothie and my wonderful husband was great and made me one!
-No baby bump yet! I am told not to worry though its just because I am so tall. I cannot wait until I get one though!
-About five more weeks and we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl.
-I will post some ultrasound pictures when baby looks more like a baby and not two circles with a nose. (There is not much to look at right now.)

School
Kyle started school again this week. He is taking 19 credits and they are all online. It is a lot, but I know he can do it because he is amazing!

That is about all that is new with us. We are doing great and are so happy!

Christmas Came Early

Today Kyle sent me one of my Christmas presents early. I got flowers delivered to me at work. It was so cute! It actually has a lot of meaning behind it also. We started dating seriously two years ago around this time and exactly two years tomorrow he sent me Gerber Daisies at ShopKo for Christmas. Little did he know that Gerber Daisies are my favorite flower. It was so much fun to get the same surprise again today. He is such a thoughtful and caring husband. I am so lucky!

Temple Square

On Monday Kyle and I went to temple square to look at the lights. We had a lot of fun and it was beautiful up there. It is the only tradition that we have established so far as a couple. Here are a couple of pictures of our night.

This was a nativity that was floating in the middle of the first reflection pool. It was very pretty!

This is the other nativity where they told the real Christmas story. It helped me to remember what Christmas is really about.

I'm Thinking...A Pepper Jack Melt without the Pepper Jack Melt and a Little Smaller Than a Regular

I know it is my second food post of the day, but this funny thing happened to us tonight. We decided to go to dinner so we went to Arby's. They have a deal that is 5 Pepper Jack Melt Sandwiches for $5.95. We wanted just regular sanwiches instead of the pepper jack ones so we asked if we could get 5 regular sandwiches for $5.95 and the girl told us that they could do it without the cheese, but they would not be regulars. We thought that is what we had asked for. We got our sandwiches and a funny story to share with everyone.

On Sunday I was not feeling very well and I knew I could not make a big Sunday dinner. I did not want to have nothing ready for Kyle when he got home from work, so I decided to express rise some Rhode's rolls. This process is supposed to take two hours, but my oven must be extra insulated or something and my rolls got a little big...

Last night we did something for the first time since we have been married. We bought something big. We got new couches and they are awesome! We have been looking for awhile to get a love seat to put in our bedroom. We finally decided that we wanted to get a new set to replace the ones we have in our living room. We still got to put one in our room also because we just moved the old one up. That was interesting also. Our stairs make a 90 degree turn three times on the way up so we pretty much had it standing on one end to try and get it up. I have to admit that I think Kyle was holding all of it. We got it up there though. We love our new couches too. They are reclining and they are all ours!

Yesterday I decided I wanted a Subway sandwich for lunch and so I drove to the one in Lakepoint (it's on your way to Tooele) to get one. When I went in she said they were out of bread. I could not believe it. Subway was out of bread. I thought it was really funny and I hope you find it funny also.

City Life

Being back in the city is not so great. I lived here for 18 years and it seemed to be okay, but after being in Logan for three years it kind of sucks to be back in the fast paced life of the city. It is hard when it takes at least 30 minutes to get anywhere. Kyle was a little overwhelmed when we got here. He relied on his Garmin to get anywhere. It was funny to me at first because I did not think it was that hard, but now he is laughing because he knows how to get around better than I do. The one advantage of life here that makes it all worth it is the fact that my family is here. It is nice to be able to see them more often.

Catch Up

We have been so busy lately that updating our blog has been put on the back burner. A lot has happened in the last month. Kyle started school at SLCC and is liking it a lot more than at Utah State. I have been working at the university's clinic in Stansbury, so that has been a long drive everyday. When I think about it though it takes me less time to get out there than it does to go to the U. The only difference is, is that I ride the train to the U. We had the Stewart family camp out this month and that was a lot fun until it started to rain and wouldn't stop. We were luck though because we barely got our tent down and everything packed into the car before it started raining. The week before the camp out I got to go and spend the weekend with Kyle's mom and sister up at Bear Lake. It was fun to go up and spend some time with them. Last week we got to go the State Fair. It was a lot of fun and it is amazing to see how talented people are. I have always wanted to be an artist, but I know it is not going to happen so I love to enjoy other peoples artistic abilities. That is about all that is new with us.

Weekly Update (8/4/08)

Finally, we almost have our house put in order. There are only a few more boxes left. Moving sucks and I never want to do it again, but Kyle says we cannot live here forever. We have all the carpets cleaned and the water left in the cleaner was disgusting and gross! We definantly would not have wanted to live with them the way they were.
Ma and Pa Stewart came down to visit us on Saturday and we all went to the Red Iguana. They the best Mexican food ever there. We definantly recommend it.
This weekend we are going to stay at my parents' house to watch the dog while everyone else goes to youth conference. Rusty will love it because he loves to annoy Sam and also loves the freedom of a fenced backyard that he can be in whenever he wants.

Chinese Doggy

This is our Chinese puppy Rusty. Actually, he is not a Chinese dog (he just looks like one in this picture). he is a Pitt Bull/Boxer mix. He is a cute little guy when someone is home with him, but if no one is home he decides to be the destroyer. He has gone through many shoe laces, a Sudoku book, a kennel, and almost a bathroom door. Also, today he got a pair of glasses in only 20 minutes. He has a bigger, more sturdy kennel now, so hopefully no more destruction from him. He is fun to come home to though because he is so excited to see you and he keeps you company when you are home alone.
